CHS offers members a US impression.

This US impression is the 116th Infantry Regiment 29th Division.  This unit was heavily engaged on Omaha Beach.  The 29th has its origins in the Civil War through the Stonewall Brigade.  Some of our members continue with the connection by reenacting the 2nd Va Infantry CSA.

Colonial Australia

At times, CHS members attend heritage events revolving around Australia’s turbulent past of the 1850’s and 1860’s.  We portray NSW police and bushrangers of the period.  Some members portray Royal Navy personnel at the time of the founding of the colony.

In October 1942, now known as the 49th Guards Rifle Division, they were deployed to the Volga to Operation Uranus -- the encirclement of Stalingrad.

Now part of the 13th Guards Rifle Corps, they fought across the Southern Ukraine involving all the river crossing battles. By September 1944, they were part of the 5th Shock Army, having earlier been assigned to the 10th Shock Army. They advanced through Hungary and Czechoslovakia, ending the war north of Linz, near the Austrian Border

The Divisions correct title, with its wartime awards is:
